Back to work

As some of you may be aware, earlier this year I was seriously ill and came very close to death. It has taken me a long time to recover and rebuild my physical strength and stamina, but I am now mostly recovered and eager to get back to my work. I have been slowly easing myself back in over the last couple of weeks: giving oracle card readings, offering comfort and guidance, and making polymer clay goddesses to sell as part of my fundraising efforts.
I am extremely grateful to still be here, able to carry on my work and to keep spreading love and kindness wherever I can. That gratitude is also for my son (the Junior Witch) who realised something was very wrong and called the ambulance, the nurses and doctors who cared for me while I was hospitalised, the support staff who keep the wards running smoothly, and for the other women that I shared a bay with. They all worked together to nurse me back to health and to keep my spirits up.
Sadly, it looks as if I will not reach my fundraising target for this year (I am not sure I even remember what the amount was, to be honest). That cannot be helped, and all I can do is carry on with my work and be the best human that I can be.
As you will hopefully notice, I have redesigned the website and purchased a new domain name that reflects my change in path since I first created the I am Witch website. I have also added a new page for the Temple of the Shining Isles, which is the working name for the Temple project. It explains the origins of the project and outlines what I am doing to raise funds. It is going to take me a long time to achieve the creation of the temple, but I will keep working away until it becomes a reality.
In my personal practice, the Morrigan and Airmed have now been joined by Sulis (also known as Sulis Minerva), who is another healing deity. She was worshipped at the only known thermal springs in Britain, which later became the Roman baths at Bath. Not much is known about Her or Her worship, but there were hundreds (if not thousands) of lead curse tablets written to Sulis, asking for justice for a stolen cloak or for divine retribution to be enacted on an enemy. I am at the very beginning of my journey with Sulis, so I do not have any personal experiences to add. I will say that when I visited the Roman baths a few years ago and stood by the thermal spring, I experienced a sense of wonder and awe that I have only experienced a handful of times in my life, and it moved me to tears.
